Optics / Optik:
Like the previously smoked cigars of the brand La Sirena, the Belicoso is also a very appealing cigar. Colorado-madurocoloured with a clearly visible but fine veining. I notice that the wrapper ferment somewhat unevenly, so that the windings are more clearly visible due to slight colour variations.

Wie schon die schon vorher gerauchten Zigarren der Marke La Sirena ist auch die Belicoso eine sehr ansprechende Zigarre. Colorado-madurofarben mit einer deutlich sichtbaren, jedoch feinen Äderung. Mir fällt auf, dass das Deckblatt etwas ungleichmäßig fermentiere, sodass durch leichte Farbabweichungen die Wicklungen deutlicher sichtbar sind.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
In the cold smell I immediately notice opulent chocolate aromas. Almost bitingly chocolaty. Even a cold drawing brings out plenty of chocolate. In the background, slightly nutty aromas are noticeable.

Im Kaltgeruch fallen mir sofort opulente Schokoladenaromen auf. Fast schon beißend schokoladig. Auch ein Kaltzug bringt reichlich Schokolade zum Vorschein. Im Hintergrund sind leicht nussige Aromen feststellbar.

1st third / 1. Drittel:
After the extremely chocolaty cold smell, the cigar starts with extremely spicy aromas. Woody, tobaccoy, yet with a subtle chocolate note. A certain pepperiness floats above everything.

Nach dem extrem schokoladigen Kaltgeruch startet die Zigarre ausgesprochen würzig. Holzig, tabakig, trotzdem mit einer hintergründigen Schokonote. Über allem schwebt eine gewisse Pfeffrigkeit.


2nd third / 2. Drittel:
Towards the middle the pepperiness decreases a little. However, the strong spiciness remains undiminished. But a nice creaminess rounds off the smoking experience.

Zur Mitte hin nimmt die Pfeffrigkeit etwas ab. Die kräftige Würze bleibt aber unvermindert bestehen. Eine schöne Cremigkeit rundet den Rauchgenuss ab.

3rd third / 3. Drittel:
This creaminess also dominates the last third. However, the wortiness only recedes slightly as a result. The cigar has a nice complexity and never gets boring.

Diese Cremigkeit dominiert auch das letzte Drittel. Die Würze tritt dadurch aber nur leicht zurück. Die Zigarre weist eine schöne Komplexität auf und wird nie langweilig.


Notes / Anmerkungen:
Personally, the draught was far too slight for me. I prefer a certain resistance while others prefer a draught like a stovepipe.
At the same time I noticed that the ash was very flaky and had only little stability.

Mir persönlich war der Zug viel zu leicht. Ich mag eher einen gewissen Widerstand während andere mit einem Zug wie ein Ofenrohr bevorzugen.
Gleichzeitig fiel mir auf, dass die Asche sehr flockig war und nur eine geringe Stabilität aufwies.

First impression / Erster Eindruck:
At the first sight a beautiful and elegant cigar. Unfortunately, the upper third of the cigar was damaged during the (private) transport, so that it looks a bit "crumpled" there. In addition, the wrapper was damaged on the head, so that the Lancero already has a good draught when uncut.
However, the maduto-coloured wrapper is very attractive from a purely visual point of view.
The cold smell of La Sirena is strikingly chocolaty and slightly nutty. In addition, roast aromas after toast and coffee beans can already be detected in the unlit state.

Auf den ersten Blick eine schöne und elegante Zigarre. Leider wurde das obere Drittel der Zigarre beim (privaten) Transport beschädigt, sodass sie dort etwas "zerknüllt" aussieht. Außerdem wurde das Deckblatt am Kopf beschädigt, wodurch die Lancero bereits unangeschnitten einen guten Zug aufweist.
Rein optisch ist das madutofarbene Deckblatt jedoch sehr ansprechend.
Im Kaltgeruch kommt die La Sirena auffallend schokoladig und leicht nussig daher. Dazu sind bereits im unangezündeten Zustand Röstaromen nach Toast und Kaffeebohnen feststellbar.

Notes / Anmerkungen:
Due to the damage, the cigar certainly could not develop optimally. This must be taken into account while reading the tasting!

Since the cigar already draws very well when uncut, I decided to smoke the cigar uncut for the first time. It was to be feared that the cigar would draw much too easily after the cut.

Bedingt durch den Schaden konnte sich die Zigarre sicher nicht optimal entwickeln. Dies muss beim Lesen des Tastings berücksichtigt werden!

Da die Zigarre bereits nicht angeschnitten sehr gut zieht, habe ich beschlossen, die Zigarre erstmal unangeschnitten zu rauchen. Ich befürchtete, dass die Zigarre nach dem Anschnitt viel zu leicht ziehen würde.

1st third / 1. Drittel:
The cigar begins deliciously nutty with a slightly aromatic, but pleasant component of acetone. In addition, there are light roasted aromas from fresh toast and a sweet biscuit note.

Die Zigarre beginnt lecker nussig mit einer leicht aromatischen, jedoch angenehmen Komponente nach Aceton. Dazu kommen leichte Röstaromen nach frischem Toast und eine süßliche Biskuitnote.

2nd third / 2. Drittel:
Due to the (expected) condensate I cut the cigar at the beginning of the 2nd third. Surprisingly the draught behaviour has not changed. Also the aromas have not changed.

Aufgrund von (erwartungsgemäßer) Kondensatentwicklung habe ich die Zigarre zu Beginn des 2ten Drittels dann doch angeschnitten. Erstaunlicherweise hat sich das Zugverhalten dadurch nicht verändert. Auch die Aromen haben sich nicht verändert.

3rd third / 3. Drittel:
During the unevenly rolled (damaged) last third, the delicious roast aromas remain constant. However, the cigar becomes somewhat stronger.
Unfortunately the cigar runs out quite often here, perhaps due to the damage. Nevertheless a delicious cigar.

Auch im ungleichmäßig gerollten (beschädigten) letzten Drittel bleiben die leckeren Röstaromen konstant. Die Zigarre wird jedoch etwas kräftiger.
Leider geht die Zigarre, vielleicht bedingt durch die Beschädigung, hier recht oft aus. Nichtsdestotrotz eine lecker Zigarre.
