I perceive many delicious roasted aromas. Coffee, toast, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. These are integrated into various, beautiful wood flavors. Very dense and complex.
Mittelkräftige Zigarre mit einem komplexen, würzigen Blend.
Ich nehme viele leckere Röstaromen wahr. Kaffee, Toast, dunkle Schokolade und geröstete Nüsse. Diese sind in verschiedene, schöne Holzaromen eingebunden. Sehr dicht und komplex.

Leonel Classic
Very mild cigar with a balanced blend, which is guaranteed not to overwhelm anyone.

Sehr milde Zigarre mit einem ausgewogenen Blend, der garantiert niemanden überfordert.

Medium-bodied cigar with a diversified blend.
The cigar shows from the beginning a nice aroma picture with flavors of leather, wood, nuts and some coffee. At the same time creamy and very balanced.

Die Zigarre zeigt von Anfang an ein schönes Aromenbild mit Aromen von Leder, Holz, Nüssen und etwas Kaffee. Gleichzeitig cremig und sehr ausgewogen.

Leonel P-Series
A quite mild and creamy cigar with rather sweetish flavors.
One of the few cigars that I would describe as nutty and creamy through and through. Milk coffee in rolled form.

Eine recht milde und cremige Zigarre mit eher süßlichen Aromen.
Eine der wenigen Zigarren, die ich durch und durch als nussig und cremig beschreiben würde. Milchkaffee in gerollter Form.

Leonel Terre Rouge
Rather strong cigar with a delicious flavorful blend.
. It develops a nice deep aroma of chocolate, coffee and nut. This is rounded off by earthy hints. In the further course builds up an increasing spiciness.
Eher kräftige Zigarre mit einem lecker würzigen Blend.
Es entwickelt sich ein schönes tiefschichtiges Aromenbild nach Schokolade, Kaffee und Nuss. Dieses wird durch erdige Anklänge abgerundet. Im weiteren Verlauf baut sich eine zunehmende Würzigkeit auf.

Arturo Fuente Reserva Don Carlos - Robusto

Optics / Optik:
The specky, maduro-colored Cameroon wrapper gives the cigar an attractive appearance. Although it has a few clearly visible leaf veins, these do not disturb the visual impression. Haptically, it seems somewhat sandy, which underlines the rather matte impression.

Das speckige, madurofarbene Kamerun-Deckblatt gibt der Zigarre ein ansprechendes Aussehen. Obwohl es eine einige gut sichtbare Blattadern aufweist, stören diese den optischen Eindruck nicht. Haptisch wirkt es etwas sandig, was den eher matten Eindruck unterstreicht.

First, dark and spicy aromas rise to my nose. They are underlined by a light chocolate sweetness and woody scents.

Als erstes steigen mir dunkle und würzige Aromen in die Nase. Unterstrichen werde sie durch eine leichte Schokoladensüße und holzige Gerüche.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
The cigar starts from the beginning extremely deep and complex. While some cigars first need a few millimeters to get up to temperature and develop their complete flavors, this one is immediately fully present.
. The primary predominant flavors of wood and nuts are integrated into a pleasant sweetness. This captures the slight bitterness of the wood wonderfully and makes the blend a bit denser. The dense complexity of the cigar also ensures that it never seems boring or monotonous despite relatively constant flavor progression.

Die Zigarre beginnt von Anfang an äußerst tief und komplex. Während manche Zigarren erstmal ein paar Millimeter benötigen um auf Temperatur zu kommen und ihre kompletten Aromen zu entwickeln, ist diese hier sofort voll da.
Die primär vorherrschenden Aromen von Holz und Nüssen sind in eine angenehmen Süße eingebunden. Diese fängt die leichte Bitterkeit des Holzes wunderbar ein und macht den Blend noch etwas dichter. Die dichte Komplexität der Zigarre sorgt auch dafür, dass sie trotz relativ konstantem Aromenverlauf nie langweilig oder eintönig wirkt.

Conclusion / Fazit:

For me, this cigar is one of the best Robustos with an excellent price-performance ratio. Deep complex flavors make the cigar a very special pleasure.

Für mich ist diese Zigarre eine der besten Robustos mit einem hervorragenden Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Tiefe komplexe Aromen machen die Zigarre zu einem ganz besonderen Genuss.

La Rosa de Sandiego Connecticut - Robusto

Optics / Optik:
Connecticut Shade wrappers I always see as being particularly fine and filigree. This one is no exception. Due to the almost non-existent veining and the colorado-claro-colored, slightly greenish coloring, the very high quality wrapper almost seems artificial.

Connecticut Shade Deckblätter empfinde ich immer als besonders fein und filigran. Dieses hier macht da keine Ausnahme. Durch die quasi nicht vorhandene Äderung und die colorado-claro-farbene, leicht grünstichige Färbung wirkt das qualitativ sehr hochwertige Deckblatt fast schon künstlich.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
Typical of this tobacco, distinct smells of sun-warmed hay rise to my nose. In addition to the grassy hay, I continue to perceive aromas of meadow flowers, wild herbs and some hazelnut.

Tabaktypisch steigen mir deutliche Gerüche nach sonnenwarmem Heu in die Nase. Neben dem grasigen Heu nehme ich weiterhin Aromen nach Wiesenblumen, Wildkräuter und etwas Haselnuss wahr.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
In addition to the already expected grassy aromas, the cigar awaits directly with a good portion of white pepper.
In the further course, the pepper takes back a bit and makes room for a deep and complex spiciness. A subtle sweetness can be detected in the background. This appealing flavor profile continues until the cigar is put down.

Neben den bereits erwarteten grasigen Aromen wartet die Zigarre direkt mit einer ordentlichen Portion weißem Pfeffer auf.
Im weiteren Verlauf nimmt sich der Pfeffer etwas zurück und macht Platz für eine tiefe und komplexe Würzigkeit. Hintergründig ist eine subtile Süße feststellbar. Dieses ansprechende Aromenprofil setzt sich bis zum Ablegen der Zigarre fort.

Conclusion / Fazit:

Because the cigar passes through no significant flavor development in the course of smoking, is perfectly suited to deal with the typical aromas of a Connecticut Shade wrapper. The overall relatively mild blend supports this olfactory "study trip".

Da die Zigarre im Rauchverlauf keine signifikante Aromenentwicklung durchläuft, ist hervorragend geeignet, sich mit den typischen Arome eines Connecticut Shade Deckblattes zu beschäftigen. Der insgesamt relativ milde Blend unterstützt diese olfaktorische "Studienreise".

Optics / Optik:
Visually, the colorado colored Petit Corona can only be described as perfect. The silky wrapper is of an evenness of texture and has hardly any leaf veins.

Optisch kann die coloradofarbene Petit Corona nur als perfekt bezeichnet werden. Das seidige Deckblatt ist von gleichmäßiger Struktur und weist kaum Blattadern auf.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
As expected, the cigar spreads a fairly mild cold smell. Nutty with a mild woody note.

Erwartungsgemäß verströmt die Zigarre einen recht milden Kaltgeruch. Nussig mir einer milden Holznote.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
In contrast to the restrained cold smell, the small cigar shows a clear aroma. Primarily I perceive a very balanced wood note. Therein beautifully integrated I find of aromas of hazelnut and garden herbs. At the same time, a honey sweetness develops, which increases continuously in the course of smoking. Im Gegensatz zum verhaltenen Kaltgeruch zeigt die kleine Zigarre eine deutliche Aromatik. Primär nehme ich eine sehr ausgewogene Holznote war. Darin schön eingebunden finde ich von Aromen nach Haselnuss und Gartenkräutern. Gleichzeitig entwickelt sich eine Honigsüße, die im Rauchverlauf kontinuierlich zunimmt. Über allem schwebt eine leichte Salzigkeit die mich an Meer und Strand erinnert und die ich als typisch für Trinidad empfinde.
Gegen Ende entwickeln sich zusätzlich etwas herbere Noten. Ich stelle hier neben einer deutlichen Holznote auch erdige Anklänge und leichte Tannine.

Conclusion / Fazit:

I am always surprised how well the little cigar has developed in recent years. For me, it's another reason why it pays to be patient and let Habanos age for a while.

Ich bin immer wieder überrascht, wie gut sich die kleine Zigarre in den letzten Jahren entwickelt hast. Für mich ist sie ein weiterer Grund, warum es sich lohnt, geduldig zu sein und Habanos eine gewisse Zeit nachreifen zu lassen.

ADV King‘s Gold - Robusto

Optics / Optik:
The cigar dresses itself in a beautiful full Maduro. The flawless wrapper has very few leaf veins that are not noticeable. The gold-colored anila is especially striking with its coloring trimmed to antique. All in all, a very appealing look.

Die Zigarre kleidet sich in ein schönes sattes Maduro. Das makellose Deckblatt weist nur sehr wenige Blattadern auf, die nicht weiter auffallen. Besonders auffällig ist die goldfarbene Anila mit der auf antik getrimmten Farbgebung. Alles in allem eine sehr ansprechende Optik.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
The cold smell is reminiscent of malty black bread. Rich and rather dark smells promise a full-bodied cigar.

Der Optik entsprechend erinnert der Kaltgeruch an malziges Schwarzbrot. Satte und eher dunkle Gerüche versprechen eine gehaltvolle Zigarre.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
Although the cold smell is often very different from the aromas in the smoke, the aroma of the cigar reminds me of brown bread. Still dark cocoa with a subtle sweetness. On top of that a distinctive spiciness and a soft wood note that reminds of sandalwood. Very balanced and round. Extremely complex in the overall picture.
In the second half, a mild acidity is added and provides additional juiciness. In spite of all the spiciness, the cigar remains balanced and never develops sharpness. It also develops a pleasant earthiness and a noticeable strength. Certainly not a breakfast cigar, but perfect for the evening.

Obwohl der Kaltgeruch sich sehr oft deutlich von den Aromen im Rauchverlauf unterscheidet, erinnert mich die Zigarre vom Aroma her an Schwarzbrot. Weiterhin dunkler Kakao mit einer hintergründigen Süße. Darüber eine markante Würzigkeit und eine weiche Holznote, die an Sandelholz erinnert. Sehr ausgewogen und rund. Äußerst komplex im Gesamtbild.
In der zweiten Hälfte kommt eine milde Säure hinzu und sorgt für eine zusätzliche Saftigkeit. Trotz aller Würzigkeit bleibt die Zigarre ausgewogen und entwickelt zu keinem Zeitpunkt Schärfe. Weiterhin entwickelt sich eine angenehme Erdigkeit und eine merkliche Stärke. Sicher keine Frühstückszigarre, aber perfekt für den Abend.

ADV Queen’s Pearls - Robusto

Im Gegensatz zur recht leicht gerollten Corona ist dieses Exemplar knüppelhart gerollt und zieht etwas zu schwerer.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
The cigar starts with mildly spicy aromas of fine leather and a little coffee. In the further course I perceive a light sweetness like from sponge cake. This increases until the middle and decreases continuously from there. In its place a slight bitter note appears, but this is not disturbing. A nice smoke with complex aromas.

Die Zigarre setzt zu Beginn mildwürzige Aromen nach feinem Leder und etwas Kaffee. Im weiteren Verlauf nehme ich eine leichte Süße wie von Biskuit wahr. Dies steigert sich bis zur Mitte und nimmt ab da kontinuierlich ab. An ihrer Stelle kommt eine leichte Bitternote auf, die jedoch nicht stört. Ein schöner Rauchverlauf mit komplexen Aromen.

ADV Queen’s Pears - Corona

Optics / Optik:
Beautiful colourado-claro-coloured, finely structured wrapper, no notable leaf veins. Very evenly rolled.
In addition, the heavy anila, which is made of soft metal, is particularly striking.

Schönes colorado-clarofarbenes, feinstrukturiertes Deckblatt, keine nennenswerten Blattadern. Sehr ebenmäßig gerollt.
Besonders fällt aber die schwere, aus Weichmetall bestehende Banderole auf.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
First of all, the cold smell seems to me to be "green" and grassy. Furthermore I perceive a slightly acidic wood note.

In erster Linie erscheint mir der Kaltgeruch „grün“ und grasig. Weiterhin nehme ich eine leicht säuerliche Holznoten wahr.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
The Corona starts with aromas of fresh wood. In addition mild coffee aromas. In the background I notice light chocolate aromas. A minimal bitterness floats above everything.
In the middle range, the existing flavours are supplemented by butter toast flavours. Towards the end, the bitter notes increase and forms the dominant impression.

Die Corona startet mit Aromen nach frischem Holz. Dazu milde Kaffeearomen. Im Hintergrund stelle ich leichte Schokoladenaromen fest. Über allem schwebt eine minimale Bitterkeit.
Im mittleren Bereich werden die bisherigen Aromen durch Aromen nach Buttertoast ergänzt.
Zum Ende hin nehmen dann die Bitternoten zu und bilden den vorherrschenden Eindruck.

Conclusion / Fazit:

A rather mild cigar with the (for me) typical character of a Connecticut Shade wrapper.

Eine eher milde Zigarre mit dem (für mich) typischen Charakter eines Connecticut Shade Deckblattes.

Marca Fina Nicaragua - Lonsdale

Optics / Optik:
The cigar appears rather average. The colorado-colored, slightly stained wrapper does not show any significant shine. Nevertheless the cigar has an appealing appearance.

Die Zigarre erscheint eher durchschnittlich. Das coloradofarbene, leicht fleckige Deckblatt weist keinen nennenswerten Glanz auf. Trotzdem wirkt die Zigarre ansprechend.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
In the first impression the cigar shows a clear chocolate and cocoa note. Furthermore I take light smells of wood and some hay.

Im ersten Eindruck zeigt die Zigarre eine deutliche Schokoladen- und Kakaonote. Weiterhin nehme ich leichte Gerüche nach Holz und etwas Heu war.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
The Lonsdale starts with a typical wooden note. In the background I notice leathery aromas. Despite the tart aromas, the cigar does not seem tart, but pleasantly balanced. In the further course of the cigar, light hazelnut aromas are added. From here on, there are the leather aromas that dominates. In the last third the overall aromas are complemented by the roasted aromas of black coffee.

Die Lonsdale startet mit einer typischen Holznote. Im Hintergrund nehme ich ledrige Aromen war. Trotz der herben Aromen wirkt die Zigarre nicht herb, sondern angenehm ausgewogen. Im weiteren Verlauf stellen sich zusätzlich leichte Haselnussaromen ein. Ab hier dominieren jedoch die Lederaromen. Im letzten Drittel werden die Gesamtaromen durch Röstaromen nach schwarzem Kaffee ergänzt.

Conclusion / Fazit:

Surely you cannot compare an inexpensive bundle cigar with a super premium cigar, but Marca Fina also provides a delicious, enjoyable cigar for all days.

Sicherlich kann man von eine preisgünstige Bündel-Zigarre nicht mit einer Superpremiumzigarre vergleichen, aber Marca Fina liefert auch hier eine lecker, genussvolle Zigarre für alle Tage.

Sancho Panza - Non Plus

I bought the little Sancho Panza just for testing, so unfortunately I cannot give any information about its age. However, I estimate the Age not older than 2-3 years.

Die kleine Sancho Panza hatte ich mir mal zum Testen gekauft, sodass ich leider keine Angaben zum Alter machen kann. Ich schätze sie jedoch nicht älter als 2-3 Jahre.

Optics / Optik:
A nice little cigar with an even colorado wrapper. The fine structure is interrupted by a few small leaf veins, but this does not disturb the positive impression.

Eine hübsche kleine Zigarre mit einem gleichmäßigen, coloradofarbenes Deckblatt. Die feine Struktur wird durch einige kleine Blattadern unterbrochen, was den positiven Eindruck jedoch nicht stört.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
The cigar has a mild but distinct chocolate note. In addition to this, mild cedar wood aromas. A great and round cold smell.

Der Zigarre entströmen milde, jedoch deutliche Schokoladennoten. Dazu ebenso milde Zedernholzaromen. Ein toller und runder Kaltgeruch.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
The Petit Corona starts deliciously spicy. The basic aroma is primarily a pleasant wood note. A light earthiness completes the aroma. From the middle, the first impressions are supported by dry herbal aromas. Towards the end, the aromas become stronger, but without overstraining. All in all, the above mentioned aromas remain throughout the smoking process, but appear in always changing intensity.

Die Petit Corona startet lecker würzig. Als Grundaroma nehme ich primär eine angenehme Holznote wahr. Eine leichte Erdigkeit ergänzt das Aromenspiel. Ab der Mitte werden die ersten Eindrücke durch trockene Kräuteraromen unterstützt. Zum Ende werden die Aromen kräftiger, jedoch ohne zu überfordern. Insgesamt bleiben die genannten Aromen im gesamten Rauchverlauf erhalten, treten jedoch in immer wieder wechselnder Intensität auf.

Cuaba - Tradicionales (2018)

Optics / Optik:
I personally like the double-figuardos. No matter what size they are, they look elegant to me in a certain sense. The Tradicionales is a smaller format of the brand Cuaba. Like most Cuabas, the finely structured wrapper is classic colorado.

Ich persönlich mag ja die Doppel-Figuardos. Egal in welcher Größe wirken sie auf mich in gewisser Hinsicht elegant. Bei der Tradicionales handelt es sich um ein kleineres Format der Marke Cuaba. Das feinstrukturierte Deckblatt und ist wie die meisten Cuabas klassisch coloradofarben.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
The first thing I take is a chocolaty smell of coffee. A little later, at the second "look" I discover smells of garden herbs, cedar wood and some soil. The result is a spicy and aromatic overall impression.

Als erstes nehme ich einen schokoladigen Kaffeegeruch war. Etwas später, auf den zweiten „Blick“ entdecke ich Gerüche nach Gartenkräutern, Zedernholz und etwas Erde. Es entsteht ein würzig-aromatischer Gesamteindruck.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
Due to its shape, the cigar begins very restrained at first. With increasing diameter the cigar gains strength. Primarily I take strong wood aromas. These are complemented by earthy notes in the background. A rather harsh smoking pleasure, which becomes rounder and milder as the cigar continues.
From the halfway point, additional aromas of black coffee and wholemeal bread appear. In addition a profound sweetness, which rounds off the pleasure.

Der Form geschuldet beginnt die Zigarre zunächst sehr verhalten. Mit zunehmendem Durchmesser gewinnt die Zigarre an Kraft. Primär nehme ich kräftige Holzaromen war. Diese werden im Hintergrund durch erdige Noten ergänzt. Ein eher herber Rauchgenuss, der im weiteren Verlauf runder und milder wird.
Ab der Hälfte kommen zusätzlich Aromen nach schwarzem Kaffee und Vollkornbrot auf. Dazu ein hintergründige Süße, die den Genuss abrundet.

Arturo Fuente - Gran Reserva No. 4 (Corona)

Optics / Optik:
The beautiful, colorado-maduro colored wrapper has a nice baconiness. Despite a few small leaf veins the cigar looks very attractive.

Das schöne, colorado-madurofarbene Deckblatt weist eine schöne Speckigkeit auf. Trotz ein paar kleiner Blattadern wirkt die Zigarre sehr ansprechend.

Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
The cigar exudes a beguiling smell of dark chocolate and a little honey. The smell is almost sticky. In the background I still find dark complex notes.

Die Zigarre verströmt einen betörenden Geruch nach dunkler Schokolade und etwas Honig. Der Geruch wirkt schon fast etwas klebrig. Im Hintergrund nehme ich weiterhin dunkle komplexe Noten war.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
The beautiful dense and creamy smoke has a complex aroma structure from the start. Besides a nice herbal note, spicy wood aromas dominate, which are accompanied by a pleasant background sweetness.
Towards the end, the smoke clearly loses its creaminess and more tart aromas appear.

Der schöne dichte und cremige Rauch weist von Anfang an eine komplexe Aromenstruktur auf. Neben einer schönen Kräuternote dominieren würzige Holzaromen, welche von einer angenehmen Hintergrundsüße begleitet werden.
Gegen Ende verliert der Rauch deutlich an Cremigkeit und es treten vermehrt herbe Aromen auf.

Conclusion / Fazit:

Unspectacular but really delicious. A great everyday cigar.

Unspektakulär aber wirklich lecker. Eine tolle Alltagszigarre.

Vedado Cigarum

A dream of a rum. A rather mellow rum. Pleasant and uncomplicated. This allows it to subordinate itself harmoniously and therefore it fits perfectly to every cigar.

The Cuban rum was blended especially as an accompaniment to a good cigar. It is based on two Cuban rums of two different ages, which are blended at Adorini after being exported to Germany.

Flavours: vanilla, toffee, caramel, bitter orange

Ein Traum von einem Rum. Ein eher milder Rum. Gefällig und unkompliziert. Dadurch kann er sich harmonisch unterordnen und passt daher perfekt zu jeder Zigarre.

Der kubanische Rum wurde speziell als Begleiter zu einer guten Zigarre geblendet. Er basiert auf zwei kubanischen Rums zweier Jahrgänge, die nach dem Export in Deutschland bei Adorini geblendet werden.

Nutty and creamy. Slightly woody with aromas of dry earth.
Nussig und sahnig. Leicht holzig mit Gerüchen nach trockener Erde.

This Wide Churchills makes me a bit baffled. I've already been allowed to enjoy a few of this highly recommended cigar, but never before if has been so disappointing in aromas. Neverless it was still tasty.
Diese Wide Churchills lässt mich etwas ratlos zurück. Ich habe schon etliche Exemplare dieser empfehlenswerten Zigarre genießen dürfen, aber noch nie war eine vom Aromenverlauf her so enttäuschend. Lecker war sie trotzdem.

Romeo y Julieta - Short Julietas

With its "size", the cigar seems downright cute and more like a cigarillo. But it is actually a handmade longfiller. The classic colourado wrapper has a fine structure and barely visible veins.
The cold smell is just as appealing as the appearance. Mild nutty with smells of milky coffee and some cedar wood.

Mit ihrer „Größe“ wirkt die Zigarre regelrecht niedlich und eher wie ein Zigarillo. Aber es handelt sich tatsächlich um einen handgefertigten Longfiller. Das klassisch coloradofarbene Deckblatt ist von feiner Struktur und weist kaum sichtbare Adern auf.
Ebenso ansprechend wie die Optik ist der Kaltgeruch. Mild nussig mit Gerüchen nach Milchkaffee und etwas Zedernholz.

1st half / 1. Hälfte:
Cubatypically the cigar starts earthy with aromas of cedar wood and some cinnamon bark. At the age of seven, the small cigar has already matured wonderfully and is top notch in taste.

Kubatypisch startet die Zigarre erdig mit Aromen von Zedernholz und etwas Zimtrinde. Mit ihren sieben Jahren ist die kleine Zigarre schon wunderbar gereift und geschmacklich topp.

2nd half / 2. Hälfte:
Also in the 2nd half the woody aromas remain. Here, however, rather flowery notes dominate after roses, some vanilla. It is always astonishing for me how much aroma fits into such a small cigar.

Auch in der 2ten Hälfte bleiben die holzigen Aromen erhalten. Hier dominieren jedoch eher blumige Noten nach Rose etwas Vanille. Es ist für mich immer wieder erstaunlich, wie viel Aroma in eine so kleine Zigarre passt.

Flor de Copan - Linea Puros Robusto

The strong maduro coloured cigar looks like it is made of dark chocolate. A very nice, oily wrapper with only a few veins.
In the cold smell with clear aromas of dark chocolate and hazelnuts. In the background I notice some aromatic black pepper.

Die kräftig madurofarbene Zigarre sieht aus, als seie sie aus dunkler Schokolade. Ein sehr schönes, öliges Deckblatt mit nur wenigen Adern.
Im Kaltgeruch mit deutlichen Aromen nach dunkler Schokolade und Haselnüssen. Im Hintergrund stelle ich etwas aromatischen schwarzen Pfeffer fest.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
Contrary to the rather sweet cold smell, the cigar begins quite woody. Primarily I feel reminded of matured apple wood. However, a certain cocoa note can still be noticed, but it doesn't bring any sweetness. In the course of time, the woody aromas increase significantly. After the woody start it's hard to imagine. Nevertheless a minimal sweetness comes up, which reminds me of dried fruit.
For me a very good and balanced, but a bit too monotonous cigar.

Entgegen dem eher süßen Kaltgeruch beginnt die Zigarre recht holzig. Primär fühle ich mich an abgelagertes Obstbaumholz erinnert. Eine gewisse Kakaonote ist aber dennoch feststellbar, die jedoch keinerlei Süße mitbringt.Im weiteren Verlauf nehmen die holzigen Aromen noch einmal deutlich zu. Nach dem holzigen Start eigentlich kaum vorstellbar. Dennoch kommt hier eine minimale Süße auf, die mich an Trockenobst erinnert .
Für mich eine sehr gute und ausgewogene, jedoch etwas zu monotone Zigarre.

DBL - Amarillo Robusto

First impression / Erster Eindruck:
I was told, the lawless Connecticut wrapper was matured in a rum barrel. Very finely structured with slightly greasy spots. Visually very appealing.
The cold smell reminds me of Virginia pipe tobacco. Sweety-aromatic with grassy impressions. In the background slightly nutty with some creamy caramel.

Mir wurde gesagt, dass das makellose Connecticut-Deckblatt im Rumfass gereifte wurde. Sehr fein strukturiert mit leicht speckigen Spots. Optisch sehr ansprechend.
Der Kaltgeruch erinnert mich an Virginia-Pfeifentabak. Süßlich-aromatisch mit grasige Eindrücken. Im Hintergrund leicht nussig mit etwas Sahnekaramell.

Smoking trend / Rauchverlauf:
On the first 2 cm the Robusto seems quite strawy to me. The smoke appears to me slightly biting and clearly acidic. In addition, unfortunately, quite poor in additional aromas and a lack of draught resistance. Towards the middle the acidity decreases a little and aromas of coffee and light wood appear. The impressions remain constant until the end. The acidity of the beginning never disappears completely, remains present on the tongue.
A very mild cigar.

Auf den ersten 2 cm erscheint mir die Robusto recht strohig. Der Rauch wirkt auf mich leicht beißend und deutlich säuerlich. Dazu leider recht arm an weiteren Aromen und ein nicht vorhandener Zugwiderstand. Zur Mitte hin nimmt die Säure etwas ab und es kommen Aromen nach Kaffee und leichtem Holz zum Vorschein.Die Eindrücke bleiben bis zum Schluss konstant. Die Säure des Anfangs verschwindet nie ganz, sondern bleibt auf der Zunge präsent.
Eine sehr milde Zigarre.
