Optics / Optik:
Flawless appearance. Classic colorado wrapper, slightly greasy. Minimal veining.
Makelloses Äußeres. Klassisches coloradofarbenes Deckblatt, leicht speckig. Nur minimalste Äderung.
Cold smell / Kaltgeruch:
Nutty and creamy. Slightly woody with aromas of dry earth.
Nussig und sahnig. Leicht holzig mit Gerüchen nach trockener Erde.
1st third / 1. Drittel:
Very creamy right from the beginning. Woody with some leather in the background. Minimal coffee.
Von Beginn an sehr cremig. Dazu holzig mit etwas Leder im Hintergrund. Minimal Kaffee.
2nd third / 2. Drittel:
The aromas from the beginning remain constant also in the middle part. Surprising, because here I often notice a change in Cuban cigars. Tasty, but a little boring.
Die Aromen vom Anfang bleiben auch im mittleren Teil konstant. Verwunderlich, da ich hier bei kubanischen Zigarren sehr oft eine Veränderung feststelle. Lecker, aber etwas langweilig.
3rd third / 3. Drittel:Slightly stronger in the last third, still very creamy. Clear woody notes.
Finally, minimal bitter notes and a very slight menthol hint.
Im letzten Drittel etwas kräftiger, weiterhin sehr cremig. Deutliche Holznoten
Zum Schluss minimale Bitternoten und eine minimale Mentholandeutung.
Follow-up / Nachgedangen:
This Wide Churchills makes me a bit baffled. I've already been allowed to enjoy a few of this highly recommended cigar, but never before if has been so disappointing in aromas. Neverless it was still tasty.
Diese Wide Churchills lässt mich etwas ratlos zurück. Ich habe schon etliche Exemplare dieser empfehlenswerten Zigarre genießen dürfen, aber noch nie war eine vom Aromenverlauf her so enttäuschend. Lecker war sie trotzdem.
