Longfiller, Totalmenta a mano
This little cigar (and others) was a gift of my friend Trevor for a tasting. Thank you very much. I hope that my impressions are similar to at least some of his.
Die kleine Zigarre (und einige andere) hat mir mein Freund Trevor für ein Tasting überlassen. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Ich hoffe, dass sich meine Eindrücke zumindest ungefähr mit seinen decken.
Optics / Optik:
The very beautiful and even slightly greasy wrapper has only very few veins. The warm Colorado Maduro increases the anticipation of enjoyment.
Das sehr schöne und schon leicht speckige Deckblatt weist nur sehr wenige Adern auf. Das warme Colorado-Maduro steigert die Vorfreude auf den Genuss.
Coldsmell / Kaltgeruch:
The cold smell is surprising floral and sweet. My first impressions were roses and orchids. Somewhat later light flavors appear that remind me of roasted hazelnuts.
Der Kaltgeruch ist überraschend blumig und lieblich. Meine ersten Eindrücke waren Rosen und Orchideen. Erst im Hintergrund tauchen Aromen auf, die mich an geröstete Haselnüsse erinnern.
1st third / 1. Drittel:
The small cigar starts straight aromatic and spicy. In addition to the typical Cuban wooden note (my opinion), I find medium strong roasted aromas and coffee. A sweet-sour fruit notes in the background reminiscent of rhubarb.
Die kleine Zigarre startet direkt aromatisch-würzig. Ich entdecke neben der, wie ich finde, typisch kubanischen Holznote, mittelstarke Röstaromen und Kaffee. Eine süß-säuerliche Fruchtnote im Hintergrund erinnert an Rhabarber.
2nd third / 2. Drittel:
Later on the fruit acid disappears. It is replaced by a spicy-tart oak flavor. The woodsy flavor and the impressions of black coffee are retained.
Im weiteren Verlauf verschwindet die Fruchtsäure. Sie wird durch ein würzig-herbes Eichenaroma ersetzt. Das holzige Aroma und der Eindruck von schwarzem Kaffee bleiben erhalten.
3rd third / 3. Drittel:
To the end rather floral aromas comes into the foreground. The circle to the coldsmell is completed. The main impression is formed by sweet almond and baked plum. Oak and herbs to form the flavors in the background.
A successful conclusion to a short cigar.
Zum Ende treten dann eher blumige Aromen in den Vordergrund. So schließt sich der Kreis zum Kaltgeruch. Den Haupteindruck bilden süßes Mandelaroma und Backpflaume. Eiche und Kräuter bilden dazu die Hintergrundaromen.
Ein gelungener Abschluss für eine (zu) kurze Zigarre.
Burning, ash / Abbrand, Asche:
The concrete-gray ash has good stability. A beautiful structure and a finely cracked surface completes the positive impression.
The burning is very good.
Die betongraue Asche weist eine gute Stabilität auf. Eine schöne Struktur und eine fein rissige Oberfläche runden das positive Bild ab.
Der Abbrand ist sehr gut.
