Optics / Optik:
Maduro, what else. Nice and greasy wrapper whose maduro color already drifting towards a dark oscuro.

Maduro, was sonst. Schönes, speckiges Deckblatt, dessen Maduro schon in Richtung Oscuro abdriftet.

Coldsmell / Kaltgeruch:
Cigars from Nicaragua have often a slight smell of animal. Even for me. Also this Flor de Oliva can't deny their origin at this point. But it has also a delicious smells of roasted almonds and raw cocoabeans.

Zigarren aus Nicaragua haben in meiner Nase oft einen leichten Geruch nach Tier. Auch diese Flor de Oliva kann diesbezüglich ihre Herkunft nicht ganz verleugnen. Dazu gesellen sich jedoch leckere Gerüche nach gerösteten Mandeln und Rohkakao.

1st third / 1. Drittel:
The slight smell of animal from the cold smell I also find in the first and second thirds as a lightweight stable flavor. In addition, I find tart notes to fruits of chestnut and dry leaves.

Der bereits im kalten Zustand leicht wahrnehmbare Geruch nach Tier findet sich im ersten und zweiten Drittel in einem leichte Stallaroma wieder. Dazu passen die herben Noten nach Rosskastanie und trockenem Laub.

2nd third / 2. Drittel:
The present aromas of fruits of chestnut from the first third are drifting in the direction of something undefined chestnut in the second period. Added to this aromatic herb flavors were found now.

Die im ersten Drittel präsenten Aromen nach Rosskastanie driften im zweiten Drittel etwas undefiniert in Richtung Kastanie ab. Dazu gesellen sich jetzt allerdings aromatische Kräuteraromen.

3rd third / 3. Drittel:
The chestnut flavors are also continued in the final third, but are complemented by medium toasted flavors. The herbs from the center can also be found at the end, however, they shows significantly more aromatic. Matched with the slightly rustic tobacco flavors.
The final is completed by a dash of fresh mint.

Die Kastanienaromen setzen sich auch im letzten Drittel fort, werden jedoch durch mittlere Röstaromen ergänzt. Die Kräuter aus der Mitte finden sich auch gegen Ende, zeigen sich jedoch deutlich aromatischer. Dazu passend die etwas rustikalen Tabakaromen.
Das Finale wird durch einen ordentlichen Schuss Minzfrische abgeschlossen.

Burning, ash / Abbrand, Asche:
The cigar burns, as expected, exemplary and forms a beautiful, uniform firecone.
The ash itself appears in light gray and slightly stained. The good stability reflects a perfectly crafted manufacturing and a very good quality of the used tobaccos.

Die Zigarre brennt erwartungsgemäß vorbildlich ab und bildet einen schönen, gleichmäßigen Glutkegel aus.
Die Asche selbst zeigt sich hellgrau und leicht fleckig. Die gute Stabilität zeugt von einer handwerklich perfekten Herstellung und einer hervoragenden Güte der verwendeten Tabake.

Conclusion / Fazit:
A tasty cigar that does not need to hide behind the Cubans. They often say about non-cuban cigars that they are more linear in the development of flavors and offer only little variety. That doesn't applies to this nicaraguan cigar. Over the whole time of smoking it was never a boring smoke.

Eine leckere Zigarre, die sich nicht hinter den Kubanern zu verstecken braucht. Man sagt den Nichtkubanern ja oft nach, dass sie von Aromenverlauf eher linear sind und wenig Abwechslung bieten. Das trifft auf diese Nicaraguanerin nicht zu. Über den gesamten Rauchverlauf wurde sie nie langweilig.
